Elah House:
Elah House is an Upper Room in an industrial warehouse area. Holy Spirit prophetically named the room and the furnishings in quite an extraordinary journey. This room is designed as a sanctuary for women to come and meet the Trinity in a beautiful, colourful, creation filled space.
Elah means “Oaks of Righteousness” in Hebrew in the feminine form. As the ministry is one of growth and transformation of our souls into our true Identity as the Righteousness of Christ, the image of an Oak tree is so good! The Valley of Elah is also where David defeated Goliath, so I see Elah House as a space where we will learn to overcome the giants in our lives so that we can grow strong into all we are called to be in Jesus.
Isaiah 61:3-4:
3 to strengthen those crushed by despair who mourn in Zion - to give them a beautiful bouquet in place of ashes, the oil of bliss instead of tears, and the mantle of joyous praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. Because of this, they will be known as Mighty Oaks of Righteousness, planted by Yahweh as a living display of his glory. 4 They will restore ruins from long ago and rebuild what was long devastated. They will renew ruined cities and desolations of past generations.

During my research I discovered that Elah also means ‘Awesome God’, it’s another Hebrew name for God! So it’s ‘God’s House’ but in a reverent, fearful, wonderful way. I am excited to see what Holy Spirit does in our midst! Right now we have a ‘Room’ but I believe this will grow into a House!
Praise Jesus.
