Elah House, a Journey of Soul Transformation
Elah means “Oaks of Righteousness” in Hebrew. This course is one of growth and transformation of our Souls into our true Identity as the Righteousness of Christ. In the Bible, the valley of Elah is where David defeated Goliath, so I see Elah House as a space of engagement with God where we will learn to overcome the giants in our lives so that we can grow strong into all we are called to be in Jesus.
Isaiah 61:3-4:
3 to strengthen those crushed by despair who mourn in Zion - to give them a beautiful bouquet in place of ashes, the oil of bliss instead of tears, and the mantle of joyous praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. Because of this, they will be known as Mighty Oaks of Righteousness, planted by Yahweh as a living display of his glory. 4 They will restore ruins from long ago and rebuild what was long devastated. They will renew ruined cities and desolations of past generations.
During my research I discovered that Elah also means ‘Awesome God’, it’s another Hebrew name for God! So it’s ‘God’s House’ but in a reverent, fearful, wonderful way. I am excited journey together to see what Holy Spirit does in our midst as we journey into a Brand New Day in Him!
